Yo. I've been doing these quick character designs about daily for some time, and just wanted to post one for now which I was really happy with.

I suck at posting daily kappa.

Very cool daily character drawings and studies as well! You've done a great job of showing the layering of the costumes and materials.
I wish I could give some more directed critique, but given my current level of experience in character design, it'd be hard to be useful.
You did mention earlier that faces were your weak point, and I do think that they remain the weakest point in these designs, but that can all be surmounted with practice. Keep up the great work!

Ayy, more concept stuff. I'm applying to a 3D school and one of the tasks was to create a concept of 2 cartoony, goofy scifi characters. So these are the ones.

Amazing work!

I really enjoy your tendencies to draw things out. I'm noticing however from a bigger picture your shape design isn't bad but what ultimately fills the shape is a bit entertaining at times. I'm unsure of how to best describe what I'm noticing but here goes. I'll call these shapes your grouping of minor forms. I myself am at this phase where I get pretty far along but this last second the connection between the muscle and the tendon of what I'm working on seems to draw a blank. My mind can't tuck the folds in the way I had imagined them going in. Things get awkward to say the least. What i'm left with is something my eye is ultimately ok with. However, the feeling of something just kind of being off for fudged lingers.

They are kind of like moments of awkward silence. Function is a bit of a mystery, Form seems to have checked out for the day, and its place is something that just feels close enough. And all the while they are all isolated incidents. If it wasn't for the strength of your work I don't think this oddity could even develop. I get the impression you do enjoy the nuances of detailed work. The appeal of fleshing out those little bits sometimes leaves us out in the open wanting more when there really could have been less. Pushing one thing to 11 really shows what got left at 7.

NOW I just want to say I haven't been following your progress and I'm pretty ignorant of your work/how you're going about it or what goals you have in mind. I really enjoy what you've shared though and couldn't help but say something i felt could help!

happy drawing.

Hey, you got some really cool designs and I'm really digging your creativity.

One thing that stands out to me is that your relative proportions could be better. Stylization is cool and totally fine, but it also has to have some consistency in it's rules.

For instance the human guy in your latest piece, pääsykoe konsepti2.jpg, has a really cool design. I totally see what you're trying to do with him, but the proportions are either too off model from ideal proportions or not exaggerated enough to really sell it. Try focusing more on the entirety of the body's design instead of sectioning it off.

And as an added tip:

It's a common mistake but the lats/teres muscles actually attach to the arm, right under the bicep.

Hey! Yeah all in photoshop. I heard from a friend that there's some line stablizer in clip studio - should probably try that out someday when it's on sale. I bet it would save some time :) Sometimes a bit time consumin to do all lines in photoshop, but I don't know, I enjoy it a lot. And thanks man! :^D

Awesome characters dude.
I think you need to think a bit more about shapes when doing them. what are the large shapes versus the medium versus the small ones.
really push that large to small contrast, and pay attention to where you are putting contrast and detail to lead the eye.

Anthony jones has a good gumroad on design principles that might help you with your shapes.

Keep up the good work!
