Hello,

I like these study's so far..I think you could use more blue, yellow and green in that last study around her lower back and shoulder blades. I did some little notes, it may help, it may not. I don't have time to do a paint over anyway cool stuff.

I think you have lost the horizon line in this picture so you're not entirely sure what position everything should be in in regards to the viewer. The first thing I might recommend is read through a book on perspective drawing -- but the second and the more important one I think would be to do studies of landscapes and get into a work flow. Start with the sky and work your way forward, layer by layer. You might as well make them 'flat brush' studies while you're at it to give a boost to your colour observational skills.

You seem to be studying from the masters -- which is nice, but all it does is teach you some rendering tricks. It's not necessarily going to give you an overall improvement. So maybe mix it up a bit :) do some pencil sketches of people performing movements on youtube (e.g. sport, dancing, walking etc.) and do some self portraits and also more drawings from your imagination :) your master studies certainly make your sketchbook look good but that's all you'll end up being good at if you only ever do that.

Yeh. I have a bit of trouble picking the right colors and make things look a bit desaturated.
Found out if I just take a bit of time and rest and calm myself down a bit, I can see more errors I should've changed before I called it finished.
Really need to learn and take my time in these things.
Thanks!

Yeh, I'm thinking on doing landscape studies next.
As for the master studies.. I hope I get something out of it..
I think rendering tricks isn't the only thing I'm getting though. I guess time would only tell. xD
And I do draw other stuff. I do gestures from time to time. And never stopped doodling.. though I probably should also spend more time drawing.
It's something I don't share though..
Thanks for the advice!

When I am working on a study like that I will also get up and go for a run or just take a little break and when I come back I always notice about twenty different things that need to fixed with the study. This last study you did is looking good. Don't forget to mix in some harder brushes in some of those highlights. You are also missing some of those lighter yellows, grey-blues and grey-greens through out the painting.

Your studies look really good! I also like your (cartoon)animals and your environment thumbs.
I'm afraid I can't give much feedback so I'll just admire your work if you don't mind :'3

Weird question, but are you a fan of the comic Lackadaisy? Your cartoon animals really remind me of it.

Haha! Look at the very 1st post of this thread of me introducing myself and why I drew. c:
I owe everything to that comic on why I pursue drawing.. I really kickstarted all my studies and passion for drawing. :3
