@Moe
As much as possible while on Spring Break, though I might cut back now.
I need to study and finish many tasks instead of going on a drawing spree.
At least I don't need to wake up for class ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Holy shit I was cleaning my room and found two old sketchbooks.
They are hilarious with one dating back to late 2013.
Same quality as the drawings a pages ago which I posted when I found them in another harddrive.
I'll take pictures of everything for next time.
I'm reminded that I've come a long way within a long way to go.

Someone in the past two week randomly found my sketchbook on tumblr.
He was doing storyboards for animation and asked if I was freelancing.
If it's interesting and within my abilities I might make the time to see how it goes.
I should be hearing from him in about a month or two when it's done, although I dunno about the details.
It might just be a random query that goes nowhere.
I'll do some studies and make some animation anyways.
My ability to do figures from imagination have been growing stronger so it'll be fun to play with that.

Also it's weird how I can always find pencils/pens when I don't look for them.
Now I can't find any at all lol.

Been drawing still but not as much and no uploads because exams are hitting hard.
Also, too many pages from old sketchbooks have been smudged and faded too hard to see.
Slipped on the cover of one and made me almost fell down too.

@Moe
Self-taught and in some other things.
I read art books on stuff like cinematography and try to figure stuff out.
What I actually study eats more time and has no relation to art.

I do wonder about what animation schools teach though.
Someone I've drawn with for a fairly long time on hangouts went on to be student at TAW in Denmark year/two ago.
It seems like a cool place so I wish for him the best.

@Moe
It's not very impressive when combined with the fact that I'm not a good student.
I know people who are involved in significantly more things than me.
It helps that I haven't played games in a very long time.
Learning how to make one interests me more instead.

Physics and will be working for my physics professor this summer.
I've been in his research group for a few months and said I don't care about pay.
He insists he wants to pay me though so sure I guess.
Combined with my job at a research institute it'll be like working full time.
I've also been recruited onto a team in a club trying to send a rocket into space.

I'm really just a tiny fish in the ocean because I'm a bad student.
There are big fish with internships and jobs lined up to places like Blue Origin.
Very cool people I met this semester who inspire me to do my best as a student.
I wonder if I picked the right major because I'm the only non-engineer on the team.
Oh well, classes are starting to give real challenges that force me adapt or perish.
Challenges are fun and make me tick so I enjoy it, a reason I'm drawn to animation.

@Willlake
Thanks, there's a certain aesthetic of lines I like too.

Seems that the storyboard from a month(?) ago is done and most of the shots assigned already.
Although I'll hear soon if there are any simple ones left after the person checks with the director.

Wow, there's a lot of sketches! You got me motivated to scan my own and maybe dust off that sketchbook page I have here somewhere.

Oh, and those GIFs you do are awesome! I would never have the patience to hand draw so many frames like that.

The man was suppose to be getting eaten while the girl on top of the dragon enjoys cookies with a cup of coffee.
The hatching skill required for the rest of the dragon felt higher than what I can do.
I'll definitely learn it though, I've been getting interested in hatching lately.
Also I picked up a red crayon in a sandwich place, a new utensil whoo hoo.

Really cool sketchbook you get here. Tons of hardwork.

I have one recommendation... Slow down. Spend a decent amount of time on a few sketches. You shouldnt get too nitpicky over things right now, but take your time to get the forms to read, to nail the perspective and anatomy and make clean lines.

You will benefit from quantity as well, but a balance is important. Would like to see some paintings too!

Keep on swimminngg 8)

@Saraiva
Alright, I thought I balanced it when I was told this a few times before.
There are reasons why I've drawn rapidly for so long (some dumb, some not) but I've satisfied enough the past year.
Office pens are going to the side and crayon goes into the trash.
As for paintings, alright as well, an interest has been picking up again.
It's not my focus so there may not be much more and fade out again, but I won't mess around like the other ones.

Thanks for informing me of this, third(?) time's the charm.
These pages will be the last of it, or their kind won't be seen for a very long time.
Otherwise there'll be some transition but I'll have results by the end of the summer.
That's my new challenge.

Leisurely completing Bridgman won't leave time before summer is over so I should be done by the week end.
I'd like to use charcoal on newsprint someday instead of a pencil on printer paper.
I'm reminded of a Frank Frazetta interview where he claims to have completed his Bridgman and a Perard book overnight.
What a cool guy, I kinda want to challenge myself to do same thing just for the heck of it after a few years.

One thing that bugs me is that the publisher of my book separated a description from the accompanying drawings.
The drawings do correlate a little with the wrong section, but it's an obvious mistake for anyone studying the book.
I've contacted the publisher and hope they get it fixed if there's a 3rd edition in the making.

O.o that's a cool challenge. I was planning on doing that a while ago( and then I forgot lol). It's crazy how frank did it in 24 hours, I'm surprised he didn't get carpal tunnel...

A small pause in the Bridgman by inking with a g nib and brush.
I've barely used my dip pen but the difficulty makes me like it as much as the pencil.

The underlying drawings weren't great in the first place but got ruined by bad inking.
The result is unsatisfactory so after Bridgman I will redraw and ink them again.

@Moe
Well I made some calculations and realized that I made a stupid assumption.
He probably used "Constructive Anatomy", not my "Complete Guide to Drawing from Life".
When Perard is added to the former the total drawings are much fewer than added with the latter.
I think I will plan to purchase the books in the future now.
I still don't think I can do it overnight but with this maybe I can do it over a day.

Finally made it through all ~1000 drawings of Bridgman all the way to page 350.
Hahaha what the hell, I can't believe I actually did it, whoo hoo!
Overall it was pretty fun and I learnt stuff.
Got busy with some deadlines and couldn't finish within the time wanted but oh well.
I'm interested in doing the same for some other books but that will be the distant future now.
Anyways with that, there's a little over a month of summer left.
