Hey! Really cool stuff, you seem to have a great grasp of form, and you're not afraid of pushing your values and the saturation. Something that I have noticed through your work is that there's a lack of hue variation in some pictures. In the latest portrait I can see some greens, which is great. The skin color is always tricky, it has a ton of different hues. Anyway, keep up the hard work ! : D

Uiriamu: Thank you, although I have to be more conscious not to oversaturate my paintings. As for hue variation, I prefer to keep a simple palette first and focus on values, then add more hue variations as the image progresses.

Been very productive lately, I finished up the caricature for my cousin, he was very happy with how it turned out so I'm very pleased!

Also revisited the Artemis piece, I wasn't really feeling the magenta colors for the background so I altered it a bit for a more natural tone... Also gave her wilder hair which I feel suits her nicely.

And finally, I began work on a Cyclops:

I finished up a commission, this one had a limited budget so I concentrated mostly on giving it a crisp and clean feel without any superfluous detail. Also continued to do more sketches and studies, this time dealing with a bit of everything:

Your latest illustration and dem feeld q-q *sob*. you might try to study a lot from life as well. especially colors. maybe forget all you know about form and try to only see the color shapes in nature.
And keep drawing dem pencils yeah!! : D there are some doubles i think lol.

I really enjoyed the caricatures, they are a lot more interesting than the same pretty faces that most artists seem to recycle over and over again.
I can't critique much on painting since that's not really my specialty, but It seems like you don't need any help in that department.

For the perspective studies, maybe try combo'ing it with some design studies as well, so if you are going to do a room, try dressing it up based on certain criteria. young boy's/girl's room, modern, fantasy, sci fi, etc.

Hai: Thanks, I plan on doing more life studies soon based on statue busts and mannequins, should be very useful. Hope to find some time to do more pencil studies as well!

H.Sung: Thank you, caricatures are always a blast for me to paint, have so much fun illustrating them and I get to show off my sense of humor which is always a plus :D I like your recommendation in regards to environments, I'll definitely do some of those when I get the chance to do more perspective studies.

I recently had a chance to work on an exciting project, a book cover illustration featuring a dragon. I haven't painted a dragon in what seems like ages, so this was a blast to work on. I spent quite a bit of time on the details to really bring this image to life, with lots of texture work and a ton of custom brushes. The rocky area was painted with custom brushes, some photo textures, and hand painted textures... Overall I'm quite pleased with the image.

I started work on an exciting project involving Greek Mythology and began sketching the first image. It took me hours to complete the linework, I wanted to perfect it as much as possible before beginning the painting process. Here is the final sketch:

I started on another image, a portrait of an elf. Portraits are always a lot of fun for me to paint, and I need a bit of a break to paint something that I enjoy. Below is the sketch.

Nice SB, you seem to do a lot of illustration work!
As for the latest image I think the cloak may steal a bit too much attention with it's high saturation and contrast with the background.
Also, I don't really understand what's going on with the dragon creature thing.
The elf portrait sketch is looking nice. I like the up tilt of the head :)

Raedrob: Thanks, I love illustrating so what can I do? :) Regarding the dragon creature, it's suppossed to be fairly abstract so that was a bit intentional on my part....

I continued work on the 'elf' image, very pleased with how it's turning out in terms of color. Here is the current progress:

Here's a caricature I completed for a client, it's a spoof of the Monopoly guy:

I'm also starting work on another personal piece featuring an alien. This piece was initially submitted for a company and was unused, so what I'm going to do is make it into more of a portrait piece:

Started on another piece (I know, I'm multitasking), a Fan Art of 'Kitana' from the Mortal Kombat games. For this image, I wanted the character to be pretty faithful to the upcoming game, Mortal Kombat X, while also making it unique at the same time. Below is the sketch followed by the current WIP:

I like the elf piece, I think it turned out pretty good! Nice skintones and the softness of the hair; but I am not sure about her lips/chin, it seems a little bit off for me, but maybe that's just me.
