Hi gang!
I did some sketches last night that I accidentally saved over, but I took one that I liked the best and made a very bad looking 3D model of it to help out a bit with the perspective. I normally do the perspective myself but circles are hard to make look right I think.
Anyway here is the 3D model I did in Maya, I'll update more progress as I go along!

Sup fellas!
I though I could try this challenge too yeah!
I really like other people stuff so I decided to give it a try!
I think mine is pretty straight foward, in space there is no gravity XD But just spaceman would be borring so I thought of adding space mermaids O.o hunting for the spaceman haha! now thats much interesting!

Dropped my first 5 concepts that i didn't show and then the bad composition one!
painted everything from the background, no photo bash yeah!
Made a 3D model of the space capsule to speed things up.
Still strugeling on color, the orange is still toooooo mucxh vibrant will tone this down, but yeah, having a good time trying to figure out colors relation + rendering the 3d model -_- haha!

Bigger view on the blawg!

Hi, I'm here to have my ass kicked into artistic adulthood, so hit me :D. Here's my final along with some really ugly wips and thumbs and stuff. Awesome challenge, cool entries everyone.

@jenmundy : Your "quick sketch" is so pretty :D

@ leolas: Maan how do you do those intricate backgrounds look so effortlessly done? Awesome stuff.

@carlosranna: Dude, so many thumbs, my own process humbles before yours.

@Mischeviouslittleelf : :O Someone needs to stop you...Great stuff man, so much to learn from it.

@Squasar : Really cool thumbs, i like where it is going, looking forward to see the final.

@ Sushy : Really nice man, I like the color scheme you went for. A little bit of crit on it, maybe it's me but i can't really figure out what's going on besides the fact that there is a cool lady-fish floating. Try to work more on the story telling of your piece. Keep it up!

@wavenwater : Evil astronaut-slaying space mermaids? Dude wtf? That's freaking genius.

@LM: Solid pic man, also checked your sketchbook, killer stuff in there, keep it up!

@alexon: Looking nice so far man!

@Blu01 : Sucks when stuff gets in the way of drawing, hope you finish your piece anyway and post it in your sketchbook!

@chromaTinker: So much work there, can't wait to see what you go with for the final

@V3T : Heey man, nice stuff, such a girly color palette ( like mine ahaha)

@ Chaklet_Cookiee: Wanna see what's next!

@algenpfleger, Fehoria, EfilOne, Durandal : Come on guys where is your stuff?! final day, move it!

Leolas: Man Y feel like this one has been cut from a movie shot, great mood!
LM.: Just insane rendering and proportion, really nice illustration!!
sushy: Really nice idea there, feels very magic!
Mischeviouslittleelf: Well Even... you are just a beast man XD really cool gestual illustration love everything of it!
Wils: Don't piss that girl off! I really like that illustration man! Feels really comic book stylish somewhat!

And done!! :D
